Help Engine-Speed-Signal needed near ECU

Hi for my actual project i need an RPM-Signal, nice were it, when i get it near the ECU in the workshop manual i can´t find an ESS on the ECU-Harness only behind the tachometer and in die diagnose-box but i don´t want to connect my project-harness on two different points...

I know that i can get the engine speed at the tachometers back or on the distributor but there must be a ESS on the ECU too, or not?
